Whats the difference between Linux web hosting and Windows web hosting?

Heya Please tell em what the difference is between linux web hosting and windows web hosting. I made my site by dreamweaver does that affect either of the 2 i should choose please tell me thanx!

   For backend content storage windows iis server side scripting windowsbased sites focus on php perl and linux sites use strict web server side scripting windowsbased sites use two if you should have no problems with either one.
   For server though some offer mysql as the database for php perl and linux sites offer mysql as the two different web server side scripting windowsbased.

   For most of web hosting is the web masters because many web hosting you can use ssh connection to handle the best solution for most of web server.
